Trek Trades: 10-Year Vision
Trek Trades begins with concerts, festivals, film production, and live events—but the long-term vision is much larger.
As technology, automation, and artificial intelligence continue accelerating, more people are finding themselves disconnected from meaningful work, real community, and practical life skills. The modern world asks people to process more information than ever before, yet offers fewer opportunities to build genuine relationships and contribute to something tangible.
Trek Trades exists to create an alternative path.
Over the next decade, we aim to build a modern guild system centered around music, creativity, craftsmanship, and community. Young people will learn by doing—working festivals, producing concerts, filming documentaries, building stages, recording music, creating media, and developing real-world skills alongside mentors and peers.
The Harmonie Performing Arts Center will serve as the hub of this ecosystem. Festivals such as the Augusta Wine & Jazz Festival, Augusta Bluegrass Festival, Film Festival, and future events will become both cultural destinations and training grounds where apprentices gain experience while building community.
As the network grows, Trek Trades will expand beyond event production into additional skilled trades, entrepreneurship, and small business creation. Apprentices who develop expertise will be encouraged to freelance, launch businesses, mentor future participants, and create economic opportunities within the region.
Long term, the vision includes acquiring land and developing a village of affordable tiny homes, workshops, studios, gardens, and gathering spaces where artists, tradespeople, entrepreneurs, and families can live, create, and support one another. A place where people know their neighbors, work with their hands, contribute to their community, and experience a sense of belonging that is increasingly rare in modern life.
The goal is not simply to build festivals.
The goal is to build a place where people can build a meaningful life.
